The Couple Behind Marriage Guy and Gal
Maybe you arrived at our site because you are looking for pre-marriage preparation sessions, or maybe you are here because you are at a stuck point in your relationship and long for an outsider’s perspective and the right tools to help you get through it. Perhaps, you have a good relationship but know that it could be better. No matter the reason, we’re glad you’re here.
We, Tim and Michelle Croyle, are passionate about helping couples to gain the skills and tools necessary to build solid marriages. Marriages that will not only bless the individuals in them but also positively impact their family for generations to come and glorify the Lord are why we do what we do.
When we met in 1994 at Kennywood Amusement Park in Pittsburgh, we had no idea that 25 years later we would still be together, happily married, with three amazing kids, two dogs, and a marriage coaching ministry. Yet, somehow, God has been gracious to us and been working through us to not only apply what we teach other couples to continually enhance our own marriage but to help couples to go deeper spiritually, mentally, and emotionally together.
We began teaching marriage and parenting classes at Amplify Church (our home church) many years ago, eventually did some couples counseling there, and overtime, began mentoring those headed toward marriage with pre-marriage preparation sessions. During this time, Michelle went back to school and got her Master’s in Professional Counseling along with Life Coach training, and Tim also added to his skills with Life Coach training.
When the volunteer work we were doing and the professional skills lined up, we teamed them with our belief that God wants to bless people with strong marriages, and that even those considering themselves Christians weren’t doing much better at avoiding divorce and being healthily married than the general population. So, Marriage Guy and Gal, LLC was born.
We aren’t perfect, but as the saying goes, “we do practice what we preach,” and we are grateful to say that we are moving toward 25 years of wedded bliss. Has every day and every moment been blissful? Of course not. Yet, by applying the very same principals that we have learned, developed, and acquired, we can honestly say that we are closer than ever, more in love than ever, and great friends and co-parents.
